Caller dials your business
They call the number on your Google Business Profile, your sign, or a Google ad. If your line is busy or after hours, your existing carrier forwards the call to PorchBell. Customers never see a different number.

Mae picks up on the first ring
A warm voice greets them by your business name, mentions the call may be recorded for quality, and asks how she can help. Mae speaks English and Spanish and switches automatically based on what she hears.

She answers FAQs in your own words
Hours, location, parking, pricing, what services you offer, what you don't. Everything you set up in the dashboard. If she doesn't know, she takes a message and texts it to you.

She books appointments on your calendar
Mae checks your availability against your weekly hours, overrides, and (optionally) your connected Google Calendar. She offers real open slots, confirms the details, and writes the appointment to your dashboard plus your Google Calendar.

Will she sound like a robot?
No. PorchBell uses natural conversational speech, handles interruptions, and adapts tone to the caller. Most people don't realize they're talking to an automated voice unless they're told. We send you a recording of every call so you can hear for yourself.
What happens if she can't answer a question?
She transfers to your cell, takes a callback request, or does whatever you've told her to do for that scenario. You set the rules in the dashboard. She doesn't make things up.
Can I have it forward to my cell first?
Yes. Set a ring duration in the dashboard. If you don't pick up in time (or you decline), PorchBell takes the call. You can also set after-hours-only, always-on, or simultaneous ring.
Does it work with my existing phone number?
Yes. We port your existing number for free, or you can keep it and forward unanswered calls to a new local number we set up. Most businesses keep their existing number. Porting takes about a week.
What if my customer wants to talk to a human?
PorchBell listens for that. If a caller asks for a human, says they don't want to talk to a bot, or sounds frustrated, she transfers or takes a callback automatically. You can also customize the trigger phrases.
How does billing work for call minutes?
Each plan includes a monthly minute allowance. Overage is billed at a flat per-minute rate (varies by plan). You'll get an email at 80% of your allowance so there are no surprises.
Do you work outside Brevard County?
Yes. We're based in Melbourne, FL and started locally, but the product works anywhere in the US. Local Florida customers get free face-to-face setup; everyone else gets a video onboarding.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Recordings and transcripts are encrypted at rest, scoped per business with row-level security, and never used to train any model. You can export or delete everything from your dashboard.
